Islamabad: Bilateral meeting held between the UK Parliamentary delegation and Youth Council Pakistan’s Delegation in Islamabad. The British parliamentary delegation was led by Excellency Andrew Gwynne member of British parliament & shadow minister and the Youth Council Pakistan’s delegation was led by Muhammad Shehzad Khan. President Youth Council Pakistan Muhammad Shehzad Khan formally welcome the delegation in Pakistan and emphasised that interactions of youth with parliamentarians are so crucial because youth are the future leaders and by their meaningful engagements we can expect a better future.
In the meeting, constructive discussions were held on various topics climate change, conflict resolutions, and to strengthen bilateral relations through the determination to take the initiatives for youth exchange programs.
Founding Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Self-Determination Movement International (JKSDMI) Raja Najabat Hussain Sitara I Pakistan and Zeeshan Arif Youth Chairman JKSDMI UK graced the meeting.
While talking on Kashmir issue Excellency Andrew Gwynne highlighted that it’s a moral obligation for every nation to condemn the ongoing human rights violations in IIOJK. He pointed out the tendency for people to forget news quickly and emphasized the importance of not letting the story of Kashmir fade into obscurity. He urged that it is our moral responsibility to keep on condemning such inhuman actions by Modi’s government, striving to keep the issue at the forefront of global consciousness. And it’s duty of countries to work for human rights and not let anyone violate them!
Andrew Gwynne emphasized the importance of involving the youth within the UK parliamentary arena, fostering active engagement both in the United Kingdom and Pakistan’s legislative bodies.
In the British Parliament, Pakistani Youth can engage with British lawmakers to work on global issues i.e. climate change and conflict resolutions.
Delegation of Youth Council Pakistan was comprised of Ayesha Noor, Imad Shams, Fareena Abbas, Qurat ul Ain, Rimsha Raees, Ahmad Usman, Sana Safdar, Samman Ishtiaq, Kashaf Rao, Shahid Khalid and Noor ul Ain Bhutto. President Youth Council Pakistan Muhammad Shehzad Khan ended up the meeting with the closing remarks.
