Sindh CM Murad Ali Shah and senior PPP leader Sharjeel Memon both tested positive for covid on Monday. Earlier, a statement issued by the chief minister’s office disclosed that Sindh CM Murad got tested for COVID-19 on Friday after catching a mild fever. “After the test, I went into isolation on doctor’s advice,” said the chief minister.
CM Murad said he is asymptomatic apart from the fever. Speaking to media, Sharjeel Memon said that he had gone into self-isolation after testing positive for the infection.
It should be noted that the number of people infected with the covid -19 is increasing rapidly across the country, due to the complete relaxation of lockdown and violation of SOPs by the public. There were 2,128 new cases reported, while 19 covid patients died.
