On Sunday, 16 people died when a passenger bus plunged into a deep gorge on Gilgit Road near Tangas.
According to details, the bus was carrying 18 passengers when it was en route from Rawalpindi to Skardu and fell into a ditch due to a landslide.
The rescue operation is underway as the injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
However, aid workers fear the death toll could rise.
