The match between traditional rivals Pakistan and India in the ICC T20 World Cup set a new record.

According to the International Cricket Council (ICC), the viewership of the match between Pakistan and India reached new heights during the T20 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates. In the match played in Dubai, where Pakistan defeated India by 10 wickets for the first time in a World Cup, this match also set a record in terms of viewership.

According to the ICC, the Pak-India Takra in the T20 World Cup was broadcast in 200 countries and the live coverage of the match was 10,000 hours and the match was watched by 167 million people.

Earlier, the most-watched T20 match on TV was the 2016 World Cup semi-final between India and the West Indies, which was watched by 136 million viewers.

In the match against India, Shaheen Afridi broke the back of India by taking wickets of Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, and Virat Kohli, after which Pakistan achieved the target of 152 runs without losing a wicket in which captain Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan scored half a century.
