MOSCOW: Russian President Vladimir Putin has ruled out a peaceful solution to the Ukraine conflict, saying he intends to recognize the two states that have declared their secession from Ukraine.

According to the International News Agency, President Vladimir Putin has stated that he “does not believe that the 2015 agreement reached between the Ukrainian army and the pro-Russian rebels in Belarus is effective in resolving the conflict.”

The Russian president further added that the agreement reached by Ukraine in the presence of France and Germany has not been effective so far and in these circumstances, it has no status.
President Vladimir Putin has warned Western nations not to try to jeopardize Russia’s security by justifying the Ukraine conflict, otherwise, they have the right to defend themselves.

President Putin also said he intends to recognize the two states that have announced their secession from Ukraine, Luhansk, and Donetsk, and that consultations are underway.

It should be noted that the pro-Russian rebels announced the formation of their government by occupying two states in the eastern part of Ukraine and from there were moving the elderly, women, and children to Moscow in view of the threat of war.
