A group of influential Kuwaiti legislators has asked that the Kuwaiti government immediately ban any member of India’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from entering Kuwait.
The eleven members of parliament submitted a letter to the Speaker of the National Assembly denouncing the ruling BJP’s atrocities against India’s Muslim minority.

“We can’t sit back and watch Muslim girls being publically persecuted,” they wrote in a tweet on the social media platform Twitter. It’s time for the Ummah to come together.” They claimed that Hijab-wearing female Muslim students were being denied entry to educational institutions.

The women’s wing of the Islamic Constitutional Movement also staged a protest at the Green Island’s parking in front of the Indian embassy in Kuwait in support of Muslim women in India following the ban on hijab in schools.
