Saudi Arabia has opened recruitment through a unified admission portal, allowing women to join the Border Guards.
According to Arab News, the women will be recruited for the rank of private. This is the latest in a series of measures aimed at improving women’s rights in the kingdom.
According to the interior ministry’s General Department of Central Admission, applications for admission will be accepted through the Absher portal from Saturday, March 26 to Thursday, March 31.
In February 2021, the Saudi Arabian Army, Royal Saudi Air Defense, Royal Saudi Navy, Royal Saudi Strategic Missile Force, and Armed Forces Medical Services allowed women to join military ranks ranging from soldier to sergeant.
