Mumbai: Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin says that if Mohammad Nawaz’s ball had landed on the pad during the India-Pakistan match, he would have retired.
In an interview with a cricket website, Ashwin said that in the match against Pakistan in the T20 World Cup, if Mohammad Nawaz’s ball hit his pads instead of going wide, he would have announced his retirement after the match.
In the sensational match between Pakistan and India, Ashwin played the winning shot at a difficult time and brought success to his team. Virat Kohli, who played memorable innings for India in the match, also praised Ashwin for playing under pressure.
