ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan while congratulating the new military leadership has expressed hope that it will try to end the lack of trust between the people and the state in the last 8 months.
Imran Khan tweeted that he congratulates General Sahir Shamshad Mirza and General Syed Asim Munir on assuming the post of Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee and Chief of Army Staff.
Imran Khan said that it is hoped that the new military leadership will end the lack of trust between the nation and the state in the last 8 months.
Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf further said that the power of the state is derived from the people.
Imran Khan also tweeted the decree of Quaid-e-Azam regarding the army, in which Quaid-e-Azam had told the army that ‘don’t forget that you who are in the armed forces are the servants of the people. National policy is not made by you people. It is we citizens who decide these matters and it is your duty to fulfill the responsibility assigned to you.
