Rawalpindi: 6 people were martyred in Balochistan during an attack by Afghanistan with heavy weapons and mortars.
According to the statement issued by the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army, ISPR, the Afghan forces fired heavily using artillery and heavy weapons on the civilian population in Balochistan’s Chaman area.
According to the statement, as a result of heavy firing, 6 people were martyred while 17 people were seriously injured. After the firing by the Afghan border forces, the security forces retaliated in a timely manner. However, targeting civilians in a friendly country was avoided.
According to ISPI, after this incident, Pakistan contacted the authorities of the Afghan Taliban taking into account the situation, and demanded action against the accused so that similar incidents can be avoided in the future.
Balochistan Chief Minister Qudusobzanjo, while imposing an emergency, directed Health Secretary Saleh Muhammad Nasir to remain alert in hospitals. All the consultants, doctors, pharmacists, staff nurses, and paramedical staff of Civil Hospital Quetta have been summoned to the hospitals.
