Television host Mathira, known for her bold and outspoken personality, recently appeared on the Rukhsat podcast, where she candidly shared her views on modern-day marriage challenges.

Mathira emphasized that there is no such thing as an “ideal couple,” stating, “You can never have the perfect man or the perfect woman, but you can find someone with whom you feel safe.” She explained that true love is about feeling secure enough to be your authentic self, even at your worst.

She also highlighted that relationships are not always equal, saying, “It’s not 50/50. When your partner is struggling, you may need to carry 70% of the load, and they should do the same for you when you’re down.”

Mathira urged people to stop seeking perfection and focus on being transparent in relationships. She advised that mutual acceptance of flaws leads to personal growth and teamwork, with both partners working to improve themselves and support each other.

In addressing societal misconceptions, Mathira noted that people often overemphasize sex in relationships, stating, “Sex is not everything; it’s just a small part of life.” She cautioned against toxic relationships, comparing them to an addiction, and criticized the belief that women are more attracted to such dynamics, calling it a significant misconception in Pakistan.
