It seems Karan Johar’s day just got a little brighter, as the one and only Chahat Fateh Ali Khan has extended an offer to act in Johar’s movies—completely “free of charge”!
This generous proposal follows Johar’s Instagram story, where he shared Khan’s cover of the song ‘Tauba Tauba,’ describing it as a must-watch with a heart emoji. Johar recently produced Bad Newz, featuring Vicky Kaushal, which popularized Karan Aujla’s viral hit Tauba Tauba. In response, Khan crafted his own version, titled Toba Toba, complete with unique lyrics and melody. Aujla even humorously commented, “Uncle na karo please [Uncle, please don’t],” which Khan took in stride with a ‘like’ on the comment.
In a special video message to Johar, Khan serenaded him with Happy Birthday—a bit early since Johar’s birthday is in May, but clearly, Khan is always one to stand out. Expressing gratitude for the shoutout, Khan exclaimed, “A producer, singer, actor, model like you—you’re a kingmaker!” (Khan might be privy to a modeling side of Johar we didn’t know about). Khan even admitted he “couldn’t sleep for three nights” after receiving the unexpected appreciation.
Fans are now anticipating a possible cameo from Khan in an upcoming Johar production. Perhaps alongside Shah Rukh Khan? That would certainly be a pairing for the ages!
