Bizarre Wedding Photoshoot Captures Islamabad’s Lockdown Amid PTI Protests

In a unique twist, a wedding photoshoot in Islamabad featured a couple posing in front of government-placed shipping containers set up amid ongoing Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protests. The couple, Khola and Qasim, were seen embracing and walking together against the backdrop of the colorful blue and red containers blocking key routes in the capital.

The bride wore an elegant silver-white traditional maxi dress, while the groom complemented her in a sharp grey suit. The unconventional shoot was captured by an Islamabad-based photographer, who shared the images on social media. The photos quickly garnered mixed reactions online. While some praised the couple’s creativity, others found the concept unusual and unconventional.

The photographer’s Instagram caption highlighted the paralyzed state of Islamabad due to the protests, which have led to school closures and restricted movement across the city. It humorously explained the choice of location, reading: “When you couldn’t find any other location on your big day. Since it was all locked up. For Khola & Qasim.”

The ongoing PTI protests, demanding the release of party founder Imran Khan and addressing other issues, have seen convoys from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab march towards Islamabad. In response, the government has fortified the capital with containers and barricades, shutting down major roads and disrupting daily life.
