Live photos of the Samsung Galaxy S25+ have been leaked, sparking speculation about a unique design feature. A slightly recessed area below the side buttons has drawn attention, with some suggesting it could be a Camera Control button, similar to the small touchpad introduced on recent iPhones. However, a more plausible explanation has emerged. Although the original post from X has been removed, the leak appears legitimate, given the model number visible in the images.

The recessed section is most likely the mmWave 5G antenna, as indicated by the model number SM-S936U, which suggests this is the US version of the device. Similar to the SM-S926U (Galaxy S24+), this model would require the antenna for high-speed mmWave 5G support in the United States, with manufacturers typically placing antennas in this location for optimal functionality.

Aside from this feature, the overall design of the Galaxy S25+ seems to be in line with its predecessor. In contrast to the S25 Ultra, which is rumored to feature larger, more prominent camera lens rings, the Galaxy S25+ retains the simpler design of the S24 series. Leaks also indicate that both the standard Galaxy S25 and S25+ will likely not see major camera upgrades.

Samsung is expected to follow its usual timeline and unveil the Galaxy S25 series in January 2025. As the launch date approaches, more details on the devices’ features, designs, and potential improvements are expected to surface.
