Pakistan Introduces Affordable Hajj Travel by Sea

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has offered to perform Hajj by ships if there is an agreement for the transportation of ships from Saudi Arabia.

The meeting of the Standing Committee on Religious Affairs of the National Assembly was held under the chairmanship of the Chairman of the Standing Committee Malik Amir Dogar, in which several issues including the selection of assistants for Hajj, and Hajj by ship were considered.

A participant said assistants were not allowed to perform Hajj in his era if an assistant did not have a duty and the decision of these assistants to perform Hajj was made by the committee.

There is also some material related to the Arabic language. The upper limit of the assistants is 50 years. The assistants have to travel a lot to help the pilgrims. They should also have a hard life and experience walking and walking fast. An equivalent security deposit is required

Pilgrims traveling by road must obtain a visa for the countries they are passing through.

If someone wants to go for Hajj by road under private Hajj, then members said an NOC would be given to the pilgrims. Another member said that Hajj should be facilitated by sea also, to which Additional Secretary Dr. Attaur Rahman said that there is no ship service between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.

If there is an agreement between the government of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia for the movement of ships if the ships run, then there is no problem with this process, the Ministry of Religious Affairs will provide all possible facilities, the member added.
