Bangladeshi all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan kept his bodyguard after receiving death threats. Later, Shakib Al Hassan was receiving threats after attending a Hindu function in India.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board says the former captain has been provided with an armed guard. Earlier, The 33-year-old cricketer had attended a Hindu religious function in Kolkata on November 12. After which a campaign was launched against him on social media. The man who made the threats was arrested.

While Talking to media in Dhaka, Bangladesh Cricket Board Chief Executive Nizamuddin Chaudhry said that there is concern over the threats received by Shakib Al Hasan for which we have taken steps and informed the police.
Meanwhile, The armed bodyguard was seen with the all-rounder in the ongoing training session for the local T20 tournament scheduled for next week. It may be recalled that Shakib Al Hasan had apologized for attending the Hindu function.
Currently, Shakib Al Hasan has been named the top all-rounder in the ICC ODI rankings. He is the first cricketer in the world to be named the top all-rounder in all three formats in the ICC rankings in 2015.
