She did not give a reason for her husband’s death, but according to media reports, he died of kidney cancer.
Paulo Rossi scored 20 goals in 48 games for Italy from 1977 to 1986, while for Vicenza, Perugia, Juventus, Milan, and Verona he scored 134 goals in 338 matches between 1973 and 1987. Paulo Rossi was also awarded the Ballon d’Or for his outstanding performance at the 1982 FIFA World Cup.
