Saudi government announces ban on international flights, PIA also cancels 18 flights today.

International flights have been banned by Saudi civil aviation due to fears of a resurgence of the covid-19. Due that an immediate ban on passenger flights to Saudi Arabia from abroad.

According to the spokesman of the national airline, the scheduled 18 flights on December 21 have been cancelled following the Saudi announcement. The spokesman said that all flights from Lahore to Jeddah and from Jeddah to Lahore, from Islamabad to Dammam and from Dammam to Islamabad, from Karachi to Madinah and from Madinah to Karachi have been cancelled.

According to the spokesman, flights from Lahore to Madinah and from Madinah to Lahore and from Madinah to Karachi, from Madinah to Multan and from Madinah to Multan and then to Karachi have been cancelled. He also said that the ban would remain in place until the Saudi government renews its notification on the ban on international flights.
