A former banker in China has been sentenced to death for corruption, bribery, and two marriages worth 260 million.
A former chairman of a state-owned company that monitors assets in China and a former member of the Communist Party has been sentenced to death on charges of bribery and embezzlement of 2.6 billion and remarriage illegally.
However, The accused had confessed to the crime on state TV in January last year. The accused had hidden the money in the lockers and cupboards of his apartment in Beijing.
While, The accused was sacked in 2018 on suspicion of corruption and his party membership was suspended.
