Pakistan women’s cricket team captain Javeria Khan says that she is very happy that women’s international cricket is starting. The series against South Africa is very important for us.

Speaking at a virtual press conference before the tour of South Africa, Pakistan women’s cricket team captain Javeria Khan said that the series would help in the World Cup qualifying round. Javeria Khan said that she has prepared well under the supervision of a foreign coach. There are 3 ODIs and 3 T20s in the series. A 17-member squad is enough.

She said that there is no extra pressure of captaincy, only responsibility increases, batting, bowling, and fielding are well prepared.
Javeria said that the team will miss Bismah Maroof, there is no substitute for senior. She said that there should also be a women’s cricket league, the PCB would be working on it. It should be noted that Pakistan women’s cricket team will leave for Johannesburg on 11th January.
