Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi says that the Kashmir issue is on the agenda of the Security Council, peace in South Asia is in danger because of the Kashmir issue.
Addressing the function in Islamabad, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that the Indian move of August 5, 2019, was not only cruel but also a violation of human rights.
He said that daily ceasefire violations by India continue on the Line of Control.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that India insists that Kashmir is its internal matter, Kashmir is not India’s internal matter, if Kashmir is India’s internal matter then why do we talk about bilateral talks.
He said that India should allow the Diplomatic Corps to visit Jammu and Kashmir and meet the people freely, adding that India was propagating to link the Kashmir issue with terrorism.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that we have to think about whether we want peace in South Asia, Pakistan is changing now, we are a new political party, with new thinking.
Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that in the past we were talking about geopolitical location and today we are talking about the geopolitical economy.
“We can promote trade in the region, but the obstacle is India,” he added.
