Myanmar’s military has filed new corruption charges against arrested leader Aung San Suu Kyi.
According to the news agency, Suu Kyi will be investigated for taking a bribe of 5 550,000 from the businessman, while Suu Kyi’s lawyer has declared the allegations baseless.
On the other hand, the administration has restricted internet access in several areas to prevent protests in Yangon.
According to the news agency, 217 people have been killed and dozens injured in the violent crackdown so far.
The administration has arrested 37 journalists, 19 of whom are still in custody.
