Yangon: The Kachin Independence Army, a rebel group in Myanmar, has claimed that its fighters shot down a military helicopter returning from a bombing.

According to the International News Agency, the rebel group in Myanmar has claimed to have shot down a military helicopter in the village of Moimok in Kachin province, saying that the helicopter was returning after bombing the town.

A statement from the rebel group said Myanmar’s warplanes had bombed the village while the helicopter was firing on people. The helicopter was returning after the airstrike when a rocket launcher hit it.

Local media also confirmed the crash of a military helicopter in Kachin, saying that smoke could be seen rising from a wrecked helicopter in the fields. Still, the impact has not been officially confirmed or confirmed.
