Egypt has signed an agreement with a French company to buy 30 Rafale aircraft.
The Egyptian military has confirmed that it has ordered 30 Rafale aircraft from a French defence firm.
The order will be financed through a 10-year loan, the statement added.
Investigative site Disclosure reported that the order was part of a secret mega-defence deal worth about 4. 4.8 billion.
According to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, it is the world’s third-largest arms importer after Egypt, Saudi Arabia and India.
