Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi says he has spoken to Afghan Foreign Minister Hanif Atmar on the phone.
Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi, who is on a visit to the United Arab Emirates, said this in a statement.
He said that talks were held with Afghan Foreign Minister Hanif Atmar on Pak-Afghan relations and peace.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi says he supports reconciliation in Afghanistan and progress in the Afghan peace process in Istanbul.
He said he was looking forward to meeting his Afghan counterpart Hanif Atmar at the Istanbul Conference.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi added that he would soon invite his Afghan counterpart to Pakistan after the Istanbul Conference.
The Foreign Minister also said that he would hold talks with his Afghan counterpart Hanif Atmar in Pakistan to take the talks forward.
