The recent remarks of the National Advisor of Ashraf Ghani, Hamdullah Muhib in which he called Pakistan a “brothel house” have sparked a diplomatic spat.
The remarks of the NSA came at a time when Pakistan’s political and military leadership was trying hard to play a vital role in bringing peace in Afghanistan and the rest of the region.
Mohib’s remarks about Islamabad came just days before after Pakistan’s military chief, General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited Kabul and had a meeting with President Ashraf Ghani in the presence of Nick Carter, Britain’s Chief of the Defense Staff.
Meanwhile reacting to the remarks Of Afghan National Security Adviser, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi pointed towards NSA and said, listen carefully! No Pakistani will shake hands or engage with you if you don’t stop uttering derogatory remarks against Pakistan,” Qureshi said.
“You equate Pakistan with a brothel house. Shame on you,” Qureshi added. “My blood has been boiling ever since you uttered these words.” He went on to say that the Afghan NSA is in fact a spoiler who never wants peace in Afghanistan.
It is important to mention here that Hamdullah Muhib is among the few Afghani politicians who have always been involved in blaming Pakistan for terrorism taking place ON Afghanistan’s soil.
