Afghan President Ashraf Ghani says he is ready for direct talks with the Taliban.
Addressing a meeting at the Presidential Palace, Ashraf Ghani said that they are ready for direct talks with the Taliban, adding that the release of 5,000 Taliban prisoners showed our desire for peace.
Ashraf Ghani said that there is no military solution to the problem of Afghanistan, the Afghan government believes in political reconciliation to solve the problem.
“We offer early elections for peace in the country,” he said.
