Puma has signed Pakistan’s explosive middle-order hitter Asif Ali as a brand ambassador. Asif is the first cricketer from Pakistan to be signed by the sportswear brand.
Puma already sponsors a number of cricketers from around the globe, including Virat Kohli, India’s Test captain, Rashid Khan, Afghanistan’s spinner, and former New Zealand captain, Brendon McCullum.
Asif is the most recent Pakistani sportsman to sign a large sponsorship contract with a multinational company. Gray-Nicolls, a cricket equipment manufacturer, has already signed Pakistan captain Babar Azam and wicket-keeper batter Mohammad Rizwan.
