The inter-provincial education ministers’ conference decided to keep educational institutions open across the country.

According to details, the meeting chaired by Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood. The participants agreed that because of the second wave of Covid, there is no need to close educational institutions at this time.

However, educational institutions across the country will remain open. In the meeting that there would be no winter holidays in Punjab province. While no decision could be taken on the eighth, ninth and tenth board examinations.

Next meeting of inter-provincial education ministers will be held in December. It will be done to review the situation in the second wave of Covid-19.

Winter holidays in educational institutions,

In this regard, Punjab Education Minister Murad Rass has opposed the winter holidays in educational institutions. They said that there are already too many holidays.

A statement issued by the Punjab Education Minister said that there is no state of emergency in Punjab province at present regarding the global corona epidemic.

More than 200 teachers and students across the province have been confirmed to be infected with the covid-19. So this situation is not dangerous, that’s why we are not in favour of the winter holidays, because there are already a lot of holidays.

A decision will then be taken, he said, adding that the final decision regarding the closure of schools has not been made yet.

Furthermore, he said that schools are not being closed. However, schools across the province are open and as usual. The educational process is also underway, while no final decision has been taken regarding the closure of Punjab schools.
