The National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) meeting on Monday is expected to take important decisions to control the rapidly spreading global epidemic Coronavirus.

According to sources, the meeting is expected to decide to increase the smart lockdown to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

Sources said that a proposal to close schools open for examinations would also be put before the NCOC at the meeting, while violations of SOPs are being reported in most of the schools where examinations are underway.

The NOC meeting will consider a proposal to increase the smart lockdown and to keep the Corona outbreak area in the red zone in the federation and the provinces.

According to sources, a proposal for strict smart lockdown in the concerned areas will also be considered in the meeting while a proposal to impose section 188 in Islamabad will also be tabled.

Under Section 188, vendors who do not comply with the Corona SOPs will be arrested. The final decision on the proposals will be taken at the NCOC meeting on Monday.

According to the National Command and Control Center (NCOC), 3,667 more cases of coronavirus have been reported in Pakistan in the last 24 hours, with 44 more people dying of the disease. While 2,092 patients were cured of the disease.

The total number of coronavirus deaths across the country has risen to 13,843, while the total number of patients has risen to 626,802.
