Cristiano Ronaldo, the legendary Portuguese footballer, made headlines after leading his national team to a dominant 5-1 win over Poland, securing a place in the UEFA Nations League quarterfinals.

This victory marked Ronaldo’s 132nd international win, surpassing his former Real Madrid teammate Sergio Ramos, who has 131 wins with Spain.

Shortly after the match, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner discussed his future plans with reporters. Reflecting on his career, Ronaldo stated, “I just want to enjoy myself. As for retirement, it may happen in one or two years… I don’t know. I’m turning 40 soon. As long as I’m motivated, I’ll keep going. When I no longer feel motivated, that’s when I’ll retire.”

The Al Nassr forward also confirmed that he has no interest in a coaching career, adding, “Managing a team isn’t in my plans. My future lies in other areas outside of football, though time will tell.”

After their victory against Poland, Portugal’s next Nations League match is against Croatia on Monday. However, Ronaldo will not be part of the squad as he has returned to his Saudi Pro League club, Al Nassr.
