UAE airline suspends pilot for refusing to fly to Israel. According to a foreign news agency, the Emirates airline of the United Arab Emirates suspended the Tunisian pilot for refusing to go to Israel.
“I have no regrets about my decision, and only Allah is my helper,” said Monam Sahib Al-Taba, a Tunisian-based Emirati airline pilot, in a post on social networking site Facebook. Talking to local media, he said that he has to appear before the disciplinary committee after the suspension. At the same time, he has also closed his Facebook account due to pressure from airline management.
Politicians in Tunisia have hailed the pilot’s move. Several political parties say the pilot’s move is proof that the Palestinian issue is still in the Tunisian people’s hearts.
