Bhutto, a former chairperson party and two-time ex-PM of Pakistan, was assassinated in a gun-and-bomb attack in Rawalpindi’s Liaquat Bagh on December 27, 2007.
The slain former PM was campaigning for PPP in the general election of 2008 when she was targeted and murdered.
The PPP announced that they will observe her death anniversary by ensuring the coronavirus standard operations procedures (SoPs) must be followed.
PPP Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, Aseefa Bhutto-Zardari, Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah, and other party leaders will address a public gathering of the party.
On Saturday, PPP leaders and workers began arriving at Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto, where a mushaira has been scheduled in front of Benazir Bhutto’s mausoleum.
At the anniversary, Deputy Commissioner Larkana and SSP Larkana briefed the press that special security and traffic measures will be taken.
Former President president Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto both resolved to continue Benazir Bhutto’s struggle to rid Pakistan of inflation and unemployment.
