More than 150 persons died due to heavy rainfall which causes flash floods in two states of India-Uttrakhand and Kerala- and some parts of Nepal, BBC reported.
Houses were flooded into the water, landslides have occurred in some areas which causes severe damages and casualties.
At least 50 people have died in the Indian state Uttrakhand, including five people from a single family and about 77 people have died in Nepal, dozens of people were missing from both countries.
On the other hand heavy rainfalls in Southern India’s state, Kerala also flashes deadly floods, leaving another 35 losses there.
On Wednesday, six additional dead were found in Uttarakhand, amounting death toll in the Himalayan state’s famous tourist spot to 52.
Schools have been closed, tourist and religious activities were suspended in both states of India.
Rainfall in Nepal may not be as swift to abate as it is in other parts of the world.
Panchthar district in east Nepal, as well as Ilam and Doti in west Nepal, are the worst-affected regions.
Rescuers were struggling to rescue 60 people who had been stranded in the village of Seti in western Nepal for two days.
