In a recent episode underscoring the privacy challenges faced by social media celebrities, several private videos purportedly featuring TikToker Imsha Rehman have surfaced online, sparking significant attention and concern.
According to available information, Imsha has become the latest social media figure impacted by a privacy breach, as at least two allegedly sensitive videos went viral on Monday night. The clips, which reportedly depict the influencer in an intimate moment with a male companion, have prompted a strong reaction from the online community. Many netizens voiced alarm at the rising frequency of digital privacy violations, especially against public figures.
As of now, Imsha has not issued a formal statement but has taken steps to withdraw from the public eye by deactivating her accounts on platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, and Facebook. In a brief message shared on her Instagram channel, she reportedly wrote, “Jab tak video viral hai mein ne id off kar di hai,” which translates to, “I have deactivated my accounts for as long as the video is circulating.”
Support for Imsha has poured in from other social media activists and influencers, who have urged people to remove the circulating content and handle such situations with empathy. Calls for respecting individuals’ privacy have grown, highlighting the need for a more compassionate approach to digital content involving personal matters.
This incident mirrors a recent privacy breach experienced by fellow TikToker Minahil Malik. Just last month, several videos surfaced that allegedly showed Minahil in a private moment with influencer Rana Sharyar, leading to public backlash. The resulting wave of criticism and online harassment compelled Minahil to take an indefinite hiatus from social media.
Before stepping away, Minahil shared an emotional video statement addressing the severe harassment and cyberbullying she faced. She further expressed her despair in an Instagram story, writing, “I am feeling very tired. I have taken this decision after a lot of thought. You all have given me a lot of support and love, but this world doesn’t let anyone live peacefully. The world is very cruel. I hope I never see you all again. I am feeling very helpless. Minahil is dead inside.”
Minahil’s parting message also encouraged her followers to spread kindness rather than hate, cherish time with loved ones, and learn the importance of forgiveness. She wrote, “Life is short, you don’t know when it will end. Stop holding grudges, apologize for mistakes, and remember that forgiveness is essential.”
These incidents have reignited discussions around digital privacy, ethical responsibility, and the mental health implications of online harassment.
