Technology giant Google has fired the head of its main diversity department for posting anti-Semitism.

According to foreign media, Google Diversity chief Kimo Bob wrote an anti-Jewish article in 2007 in which he said that “Jews have an unending hunger for murder and war.”

The article comes amid renewed tensions between Israel and Palestine. “Jews are an insensitive nation, unaware of the suffering of others,” Kimo wrote in his article.

A Google spokesman said in a statement that the head of Diversity had been fired and that he had apologized for his remarks, but was no longer part of the Google team.

The spokesman added that the writing came at a time when anti-Semitic attacks were on the rise, and there was no room for anti-Semitic people in our organization and we condemned it. According to reports, Kimo’s writing has now been deleted.
