The HIV/AIDS cases in the South Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are on spiking with every passing day.
A new report conducted recently shows that HIV cases are alarming rising in South Waziristan.
Dr zainullahbadin the charge for HIV in South Waziristan said that the recorded number of HIV patients spiked to over 149 in 2021 of these many patients are male and female under the age of 30 to 40, said Dr. Zain.
He said that the average number of patients were overseas mostly living in Gulf countries.
It must be noted that in 2018 the number of patients living with HIV/AIDS in South Waziristan stood at 109 showing a considerable increase in 2021.
Dr. Zainullahbadin further said that the suspected cases were referred to the family care center Hayatabad Peshawar.
