ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has termed the decision of Afghanistan to recall its ambassador and senior diplomats from Pakistan as unfortunate and regrettable and said that the abduction and attack on the ambassador’s daughter were being investigated at the highest level.

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, while expressing concern over the decision to recall the Afghan ambassador, said that he was surprised by the sudden recall of the Afghan ambassador. He said that the case of the daughter of the Afghan ambassador is registered on the directive of the Prime Minister. Pakistan is conducting a full investigation into the incident.
