“107 Pakistanis Deported from 12 Countries, 55 Offloaded at Karachi Airport”

A total of 107 Pakistani nationals were deported from 12 countries, including the United States, Belgium, and Saudi Arabia, while 55 passengers were offloaded at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport, according to immigration officials on Sunday.

The frequent offloading of passengers has led to considerable financial losses, with many travelers losing their tickets. It is estimated that the 50 offloaded passengers incurred a combined loss of Rs 10 million.

Among those offloaded, four passengers traveling to Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Oman were on the stop list. Additionally, one passenger heading to Canada and two others bound for Nepal with visit visas were stopped. Two passengers traveling to Türkiye with visit visas and two others en route to Azerbaijan on work visas were also prevented from boarding.

In another case, ten Umrah pilgrims were denied travel to Saudi Arabia due to insufficient funds and missing hotel bookings. A passenger with Swiss permanent residency was also restricted from boarding.

Other travelers were offloaded for missing or incomplete documentation, including those on work visas for Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Algeria, as well as visitors to Iraq, the UAE, Malaysia, Somalia, Bahrain, Sri Lanka, Uganda, and Singapore.

Meanwhile, 107 Pakistanis were deported from countries such as the United States, Belgium, and Saudi Arabia, with 40 deportees arriving from the UAE alone. Immigration officials arrested 14 deportees upon their return to Pakistan on charges of drug trafficking and counterfeit currency. Of these, 11 had been detained in the UAE for drug smuggling, while two faced charges of circulating fake currency.

Reports indicated that many of the deported individuals had completed prison sentences abroad before being sent back to Pakistan.
