KABUL: US Special Envoy Zalmai Khalilzad has warned that if the Taliban violates the peace agreement, US troops will return to Afghanistan.
According to the international news agency, US special envoy Zalmai Khalilzad has said that he stands with the Afghan people. If the Taliban prefers war to peace, the US military will come again to help their friends.
US Special Envoy Zalmai Khalilzad added that global efforts to end the war and reject a military solution to any issue have agreed to pave the way for peace in Afghanistan, which will be restored at any cost. Sabotage will not be allowed.
Zalmay Khalilzad is thought to have recently returned from a tour of Uzbekistan, Qatar, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan and attended a key coalition meeting in Berlin aimed at securing a safe return of US troops by September 11.
