In the Indian city of Kanpur, an army colonel raped his friend’s foreign wife inside a military mess hall.
According to Indian media, the colonel of the Indian Army invited his friend to the party and raped his wife after giving him a drug. The local police registered a case against the army colonel in which the plaintiff took the position that his colonel friend had invited him to a party where his wife, who is a Russian citizen, had given him intoxicating liquor. After which he brutally assaulted her.
The victim’s husband and the plaintiff had nothing to do with the army. He was only a friend of the colonel who had arrived at the invitation of the same colonel with his wife. The cantonment police wrote in the case that the abused woman is a Russian citizen and has been living in India for the last 10 years.
