100 topics have been selected by the President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi which will be given to Masjid Khateeb for delivering Friday sermons and speeches for the formation of a better and united society, says Chairman Council of Islamic Ideology.
PM Imran Khan also assured the implementation of Council of Islamic Ideology recommendations in phase wise. Given this, this move will bound Khateeb of Masajid to deliver sermons on their chosen topics.
During the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ era, the Friday sermons were of the purpose to highlight the social issues Islamic State has gone through during the 7 days period. But unfortunately, today’s Friday sermons and speeches are more amplifying Sectarianism than highlighting and speaking out on social issues.
