The labourers in Torkham Border have staged a sit-in against the closure of Torkham Border for the pedestrians.
The labourers in the protest against the closure of the border have demanded the government to open the border for pedestrians as it has rendered hundreds of labourers jobless.
While addressing the protest, the President of “Nawjawanan e Qabail” Israr Shinwari said that the closure of border has rendered hundreds of poor people jobless. He stated that hundreds of vehicles were stopped from crossing the border which was a completely unjust to the local people.
He further said that despite following all the SOPs fixed by the government, the border is yet to be opened for the poor labourers.
He demanded the government to open the border and let the poor labourers cross the border for bringing food to their tables.
