Microsoft, the world’s largest software development company, has been encouraging young women to pursue careers in software development. According to a press release published here on Thursday, the Microsoft Power platform has made it simple for even primary school children to create unique apps based on their needs.
The Power Platform is ideal for automating basic business processes with Power Automation, doing data analysis with Power BI, creating simple Power Apps experiences, and creating useful chatbots with Power Virtual Agents.
Because of the certification’s user-friendly design, 10-year-old Pakistani twins Zara and Zenubia have become the world’s youngest twin pair to achieve the Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals certification.
With little or no coding knowledge, they began their road to app creation by adopting a growth mindset and encouraging creative expression and self-discovery from a young age.
When both twin sisters were introduced to the Microsoft Learn platform, which contained applications and resources, they were inspired to develop their first Microsoft Power Platform app—a spending tracker that takes data from an Excel spreadsheet and helps users in budgeting. During the COVID-19 shutdown, their father was compelled to work from home, which piqued their interest in software.
Microsoft Education Lead for Pakistan, Jibran said “Microsoft believes in empowering people of all ages to bring best out of them in terms of creativity and innovative solutions with the help of Technology”.
“Microsoft has a long history of nurturing creative minds by offering user-friendly technological platforms that are easy to use even at an early age. Microsoft continued to strive for intelligent solutions that have early adoption to prepare next generation of Tech-savvy”.
