Sindh Assembly Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani, who had approached the Supreme Court for bail in the Excess Assets case, walked out of the Supreme Court premises, after which the NAB arrested him.
On this occasion, Agha Siraj Durrani said that I had been arrested in the previous case, I am not afraid of arrest, I could get relief from the Supreme Court, so I came here.
According to NAB officials, Sindh Assembly Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani will be taken to PIMS for his first medical check-up, after which he will be taken to the accountability court for transit remand.
Agha Siraj Durrani has been present in the Supreme Court premises since the court order.
A NAB team led by Additional Director Shoaib Ahmed and Deputy Director Asif Khan had reached the Supreme Court to arrest the Speaker Sindh Assembly.
Agha Siraj Durrani while talking to reporters in the premises of the Supreme Court said that a written order is awaited, then they will go out.
“The court has asked me to surrender in the trial court. I am waiting for the order,” he said.
The journalist asked Agha Siraj Durrani if the order did not come overnight, would you stay here? Another man stayed in the mosque all night.
