The West Indies cricket squad arrived in Karachi on Thursday for three Twenty20 Internationals and the same number of One-Day Internationals against Pakistan.
The West Indian cricketers and team officials arrived in Karachi after taking samples for the COVID-19 testing in Dubai.
The players will be quarantined at the hotel until their coronavirus tests come back negative, according to sources with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
In Pakistan, the West Indies cricket team will play a T20 and ODI series. Pakistan and the West Indies will play their first T20 encounter on December 13 at the National Stadium in Karachi.
Back in September, Cricket West Indies (CWI) Chief Executive Officer Johnny Grave said that the cricket body is planning to fulfill its tour commitments with all countries, including Pakistan.
“We intend to fulfill the responsibilities of tours,” he had reiterated. However, the CEO had added that the board will follow standard procedures.
