National T20 and ODI squads consist of 18, 18 players, 20 players in the national Test squad
The selection committee of the national cricket team has announced the national squads for the tour of South Africa and Zimbabwe for 7 Twenty20, 3 ODI, and 2 Test matches. The selectors expressed confidence in the capabilities of the players who have performed well in domestic cricket.
The national Twenty20 and ODI squads announced for the tour consist of 18 players each. Out of these 18 players, 14 will represent Pakistan in both styles of cricket. The national Test squad includes 20 players. Eight of the 20 cricketers are part of the squad announced for all three formats.
The T20 Internationals and Test matches included in the tour will give Pakistan a chance to improve their world rankings in both these formats, while the 3 ODIs included in the tour of South Africa are part of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League.
