Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood launched the Inter Board Committee of Chairmen’s digital equivalency certificate verification program on Friday (IBCC).
On December 16, 2021, a launching ceremony was conducted at the Ministry of Federal Education. Dr. Ghulam Ali Mallah, Secretary of the IBCC, informed the minister on the usefulness and advantages of the new service.
The IBCC is the administrative body for all educational boards, and it is in charge of issuing equivalence certificates to O and A level students.
Speaking to participants at the opening, the minister stated that, in line with Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision, all education ministry organizations are digitizing procedures for transparency and public convenience.
The IBCC has digitalized the process of equivalence certificate verification following the successful completion of the online equivalence procedure. This service will improve accessibility, cut costs and time, and remove other barriers that organizations inside and outside the nation experience. He praised IBCC for using technology to make the public’s lives easier.
Security features in certificates would be integrated with encrypted QR codes, according to Dr. Ghulam Ali Mallah. Institutes, organizations, and universities no longer need to submit papers for verification to the IBCC. He said that this is a real-time verification service that allows businesses to instantly validate data on their mobile device or computer and obtain a verification email for their official records.
