SUPARCO Pakistan and Turkey Aerospace Industries (TAI) have signed a cooperative agreement to cooperate on space and satellite projects.
As part of the agreement signed on Wednesday, SUPARCO Pakistan and TAI Turkey will perform cooperative research on electric communication satellites and other space activities, according to Turkish media.
Moreover, TAI on Twitter announced, “We have signed a cooperation deal with the SUPARCO to develop satellite projects. We wish good luck for the two countries.”
“Within the scope of the agreement, we will carry out joint studies on electric communication satellites and other space projects. We wish good luck for both countries,” the tweet concluded.
Furthermore, TAI CEO, Temel Kotil revealed at the Satellite Technologies Week in December that they are searching for new clients for the SmallGEO satellite a telecommunications satellite platform that uses an electric propulsion system, according to Daily Sabah.
Kotil said, “It looks like we found a customer, but we don’t share it because it has not been finalized. If it does, we will build three more satellites. A fourth customer also showed up. We will reach five satellites in total after its finalization.”
