The government may drop the petrol price by Rs11 per liter as the prices of crude oil decline in the global market from December 16, according to Geo News report.
According to industrial sources, the price of diesel may drop by Rs9 per liter.
According to sources, the final price of petroleum products will be published once the government evaluates the tax.
Following Prime Minister Imran Khan’s decision, the government declared on November 30 that petroleum product prices will remain fixed for December 1 to 15.
“The petrol price will remain unchanged at Rs145.82 per liter, and the price of diesel will remain Rs142.62 per liter as before,” the statement had said.
“The prices of kerosene oil and light diesel will stay at Rs116.53 and Rs114.07 per liter, respectively.”
